This year, I have met a really nice group of friends. Not just limited to one gender, but both. Something I like because personally I feel that if you really want a group of friends, get one with both genders. What for limit to just one gender? Do you hate the opposite gender? Tsk. Unless you come from a single gender school, I highly recommend you get a nice clique with both genders.
This group of crazy people have stuck with me through thick and thin and we have had fun as well as tough times together. It's good to know we are still friends even with all those tough times where we had conflicts. As the saying goes, "If you and your friend can retain a good relationship with each other after a huge conflicts, it means the two of you share true friendship." Not sure how far this statement is right, but I do agree with it.
However, it isn't at all nice to know one of your friends will be leaving you. This friend (I hope she doesn't see this but erm just in case she does..... Feel free to scold me okay I won't be angry.) will not be joining us in sec 4 due to certain reasons. I really feel pretty sad because for this year, she has been something like my buddy for geography class where we walk to lectures together, do group work together etc. Gonna miss her and I hope she succeeds in her future endeavors :) (a side note: study hard!)
Then there's the enemy of students during holidays but a need during the school term. This didn't actually happen just in Singapore by the way: it actually affected quite a few countries nearby. Okay maybe not a lot of countries, but the other countries are huge. Yes you guessed it: THE HAZE (known as #sghaze in Singapore)
This thing was greatly dreaded in the June YTSA Prep Camp 2013 (which ended up failing) because with the bad air quality, the camp wasn't allowed to continue. That's right, thanks to a haze which caused Singapore's PSI to hit a whole new level of 500/600 plus, the long awaited camp had to be cancelled. But oh well, we had fun.
This then caused the August YTSA Prep + Induction Camp 2013 to happen (successfully!). It definitely wasn't easy setting up the campsite within a day, but yeap we did it. We even managed to revise what to do the next day and it was really awesome.
During the actual camp, I had A LOT of fun :D It was even better when we saw the campers having fun. The only thing that probably was less enjoyable was that I was lashed in the face by a rope by Medusa (the theme of our camp was Percy Jackson). I just need to thank Medusa for not lashing too hard.
Then there's my results for the year. I was plain lucky: passing 3 subjects (which was the promoting criteria) and having one of them being a 50% on the dot. Thank sky thank ground (谢天谢地). Need to buck up.
For now, here are my hopes and wishes for 2014 (kinda early but who cares)
-No drama in class PLEASE
-For me and my gang in class to have an everlasting friendship (they say friends you make in Sec 3 tend to stay longer)
-For the year to be smooth and fruitful
-To study properly and quit slacking
-That my family and friends (and maybe just about everyone) stay healthy and happy :)
And......... Yup. That marks the end of this post.
Till I
